"Do you really think you can win this time, Shadow?" Sonic smirked, licking his lips eagerly. His lips were chapped from the swift air hitting him in the face, so he continued to lick his lips repeatedly.
"Maybe you should keep your tongue away from your lips and pay attention to where you are going, faker," the dark one smirked, pointing his white hand ahead. Sonic jerked his large head to a tree in front of him. The hedgehog smirked, only to zip out of the trees way, leaving him and it unharmed. "Well... you did fairly well... that time," he snarled, racing ahead of the azure hedgehog. The blue one just smirked, taking his time to smile. He actually stopped, kneeling down to pick a flower nearby. The hedgehog sniffed it, blushing softly from it's sweet aroma, then carefully re-planting it into the soil.
"There you go little buddy..." he said, softly patting the petals. Shadow stopped in his tracks to turn, crimson eyes glaring at the teenage hedgehog.
"What the hell are you doing, you blue idiot?" the ebony hedgehog exclaimed, walking towards the blue one.
"Hm?" the teen beamed, standing before Shadow. "What's wrong, Shadow?" he teased, patting the black one's dark-skinned cheeks.
"What are you doing?" the charcoal hedgehog repeated, then growled, slapping him across the face. Sonic's emerald eyes widened, tears forming.
"Wh... what the heck was that for you animal!?" the teenage cried out, holding his cheek. "It hurts like hell!"
Shadow grinned, beaming at what he had done to the small hedgehog, slapping him again. "I've had it with you beating me, and I've had it with you doing this..." he could barely finish his sentence, snarling. The younger one shook, feeling as if he was about to be slapped again. He hid behind his gloved hands, sobbing and quivering. Shadow honestly felt bad, patting the blue rodent's head softly. "...I.. I'm sorry.. you just piss me off sometimes..." he sighed sadly. Green eyes glanced up to crimson's, hugging him tightly. Shadow's sharp eyes widened, unexpected from the hug, barely blushing to push Sonic away. "Hey, we're not.. friends, you know," he said with a fake snarl. "...but.. if you want, I can help around Mobius..."
"W...well Eggman hasn't been around for a bit since our encounter with younger me... so..." the blue one said shyly, raising his head up.
"Well... I can help with the... flowers or... whatever..." the ebony one grumbled under his breath. Sonic beamed, cuddling into Shadow again.
"That would be great! Thanks!" Sonic replied. Shadow grumbled again from the hug, allowing him. The separated, Shadow kneeling down to look at one of the flowers. "So... there's not much to do here... would you like to come to the lake with me? I can't.. swim... but we can go fishing or something!" he smiled. Shadow looked surprised.
'Sonic? By a lake?' the thought made Shadow almost freeze, but agreed to Sonic's dumb acts.
"Fine, but only for a bit, got it?" replied Shadow, Sonic nodding in response and zoomed off.

Being me, there really is only one thing that I can do for everyone. There is only one way to protect those I loved, along with myself. There was only one way to keep everything at peace. And that was by running. So I did what I had to do
I ran.
Wary green eyes glanced around the darkened forest, soft glowing specks of pollen floating around and dancing upon a whirling breeze that flowed through the low-hanging branches. Torn and bloodied gloves reached to push away some of the green leaves and lively branches only to be smacked in the back of the head which caused the male to stagger and trip over an uprooted tree. He laid there in th

I don't really get who these people are. Especially Shadow. What's the point of living alone in the middle of a forest? What good comes of it?
Shadow stepped into the bedroom, pushing past the new face and towards Sonic, ignoring her for the time being. It didn't seem to bother her for some reason, as if it were something he did often. The dark hedgehog reached out and pushed Sonics head to the side, using his free hand to touch the patch that sat on his neck. It was almost dried out. His lips quirked and the ebony turned away from his charge, letting Sonics head go.
"What was that for?" Sonic chirped, rubbing the spot on his head where Sh
